Reciprocal Beneficial Plan

State of Hawaii offers inheritance rights to couples who have entered into civil unions which convey all marital rights to same-sex couples. A civil union is a legally recognized from of partnership similar to marriage.

A reciprocal beneficiary relationship involves two individuals entering into a relationship where both individuals are at least 18 years of age, and cannot be married or in another reciprocal beneficiary relationship.
